We hired Grand Project Contracting to finish our basement. The project went very well. On time, on budget and they exceeded our expectations. Although the quote we were given may have been slightly higher than some of our others, the other builders charged “upgrade” fee’s or many things would have been “add on’s” that were considered standard for Martin and his team. Doing things right with good quality were a given not an “upgrade” or an “add on” for Grand Project Contracting. They kept things clean and finished in the time line given. Where do I start? What an amazing experience from start to finish! I had found Martin online cause my house was in need of some repairs. I hired Martin to install exterior stucco, fix some problems with insulation and fix my cold cellar. From the quote process, Martin was just amazing listening to my needs and concerns. He took the time to answer all my concerns. He got back to me in reasonable periods of time when time was needed to draft up a quote and a plan. He showed up on time everyday, and delivered such high quality of workmanship. I’m not surprised that Martin has many happy customers on this page. The front of my house gets a lot of compliments now. People approach me like I had something to do with it. I just say, “Look, his name is Marin, I just upheld my end of the bargain and paid him on time. He did all the work!” I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Martin. While searching online for a company to complete my basement that needed to be turned into my home office, I came across GPC and was impressed with their website and the information they provided. Within 24 hours of contacting them I heard back and set up a scheduled meeting with Martin to review the process and how to get started. The attention to detail Martin and his team have and put into my space to capture my vision and make it a reality is what really stood out for me. You can tell they care very much about every project and every client. We have been using this space now for 4 months and still love it. It's made our home feel like it grew significantly in size and I am happy we decided to renovate instead of move. We are very pleased with the work Martin and his crew did for us in our basement. They are very knowledgeable in the aspects of their trade skill as well as regulatory requirements. His electrician and plumbers were also easy going person with very good service attitude. They really score big in keeping the site neat and clean during and after the construction. We will consider hiring them in our next construction/remodel project for sure.

We have already completed 3 projects - a finished basement, kitchen renovation and outdoor stucco. Each time we are amazed by the quality of the work. It is always done on time and on budget. We hired Martin and his team to renovate our basement, which was unfinished, and included the following: - 1000 sq ft, open concept finished space (+ 500 sq of semi-finished storage / man-cave space) - 3 piece bathroom - Gas fireplace, with stone façade and built-in bookcases In short, our space is awesome and the workmanship was excellent. From the start, our goal was to have a warm, new, open concept space for our family. Additionally I wanted to ensure that the bones of the renovation (subfloor, electrical, plumbing, framing, dry wall, insulation, etc. ) were done to a high standard. Martin and team delivered on all of my requirements. Additionally, Martin and team always showed up on time and he was always reachable (text, email). Its almost as if they were not there, but 5 weeks later we have a fabulous finished basement, that the family now uses all the time. I would highly recommend Martin.
We used Grand Project Contracting to build a bathroom in our basement. There were no rough-ins, so this bathroom had to be build completely from scratch. I would highly recommend Grand Project Contracting. Martin and his crew were extremely professional and personable. They were a pleasure to deal with from the planning stage right up to finishing the bathroom. It was obvious that he takes great pride in his work. I don't know what more you could ask of a contractor. He charged the exact amount that we agreed to in our contract, he finished one day earlier then he said he would, he cleaned up each day and walked us through the progress as we went through each step. The final product was absolutely perfect and works amazing. I will definitely be calling Martin with any of our future renovations.
I chose GPC to do our basement finishing after interviewing several contractors and I am very glad that I did. From beginning to the end of the project Martin and his team worked efficiently, professionally, and timely manner. Before the project I was dreading the dust and mess I had to deal with during the construction, but Martin made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of every working day, and that I had to deal with minimal mess.
